A significant part of the world's population suffers from depression, what do you think is the most important thing that helps these people to fight depression?

The issue of depression worldwide is already a public health issue, where it is observed that each country in their health centers can treat people who manifest this type of disease. Now, it is how each country collaborates to control this type of disease to those who suffer from it.

Because it is silent, sometimes we do not know what is going on in the head of the people around us, we do not see the thoughts, when there is the possibility of realizing it is already when the person is in a big situation, with a lost look and without knowing what is happening to him. Sometimes they say: I don't know what is happening to me, I don't feel well.

These are episodes that those who live it with their relatives are distressing, while the person does not allow help to keep calm is strong, I lived it with my mother. On a first occasion she was rescued and returned to her normal life, then years later with more age she was treated again, finally a few years before she died her situation was repeated and this brought her health problems that doctors checked her and her diagnosis was fine, physically she had nothing of what she felt...so she spent months in treatment until it was time for her to leave this earthly plane.

I think that it is very important when we try to help others if we observe these cases because there is already some experience, it is necessary to observe very well even if the sufferer knows how to disguise it very well to avoid all the advice that is given to them.

Depression is so important to treat it because nowadays it is not only of old people, it includes children, adolescents and young people that we wonder why they reach this state if they are very young. The world we live in is so convulsed, wars, environmental conditions, the financial part, the rage for immediacy, everything is wanted fast...this leads to think about the future, what am I going to do when I graduate, the news says there are no jobs, how do I buy a house...these are questions and situations that lead to think a lot without finding ways out.

To this is added the social networks, with the bombardment of business, of perfect lives...situations that lead to feelings of guilt or others, the concepts of success and happiness...everything leads to feel that if I don't have what I do. Such thinking reaches a point where the person cannot cope with it, with strong consequences on mental health.

There are many suggestions in the social networks of doctors dedicated to mental health, the other thing is that the person takes into consideration and applies them to his personal life.

One of the first is to control the use of social networks during the day, take care of sleep, good nutrition, sports.

Avoid pointing fingers about things that happen and take good care of the words you say about others. As a phrase says over there... Be respectful with others, everyone is fighting his own battle...

You are absolutely right. Social media is not helping matters where lifestyles are concerned. Portraying unrealistic lifestyles and pressuring people isn't in a way helping them better themselves. It is instead, causing more harm than good

Yes, although the user is the one who has to do his part and set his own schedule of use in case he uses it for work reasons.
In adolescents and children it is another case, very delicate.

We live in a very virtually connected world, yet very physically disconnected. We don't have the community support we used to have yet we have bad news flooding in at every turn. I often long for simpler times and simpler lives where we aren't so aware of everything that may or may not affect us. Simpler food is also so much better for our mental health.

Yes, bad news is the first thing people allow to enter our senses and that ultimately affects a lot.

Depression really is a silent enemy. It's amazing how a person who is fighting a battle with this can go unnoticed by those around them, and that's why I think it's so important the communication and interaction we can have with others 👍.

Excellent information muy friend @mercmarg Greetings to you 👋

It is very common that the person is going through a process of depression and perhaps we do not even realize it, they know how to hide it very well....
Thank you
