I love breaks, free time and end of work duties, the exciting feeling and relief that comes with it is what I can not get used to because I always have that same feeling after every work period or less fun period. I can't imagine people working with no breaks and no plans for relief activities on holidays, I can't be one of such people.
I value my free time so much that I tend to plan the fun things I want to do with it even more than I plan with my serious work that would earn me money. Mind you, I get serious when I want to and have my things done but yeah, it's because I don't want anything to take away my precious free time especially holidays that comes after.
Since this year, I've been taking more advantage of the holidays I get as I have to be confined in one area and work while at it for most of the year. Alongside the time I have to spend on Hive and other online activities to earn money, I also have offline businesses to attend to. This calls for good use of whatever holidays I get to have.
It's that time of the year again that I was excited about the holidays weeks before it started and finally, I'm enjoying my holiday in any way I can. Spending it alone, with family and with friends, I have all that in plans while I was getting ready to get to into the holiday big mood. The holiday just started and the stress is relieving me off.
To keep working during an holiday is not a work situation I want to find myself, I need the breaks and free time to do anything I want while I try to recharge myself for more work coming. Yes, I make sure to take breaks in between during work periods but somehow it's never enough so the need of being excited for a longer break comes in.
My holiday starts from when I'm done with the work I have to do in the management I'm working for. Like presently, I teach in a school so I got my freedom to travel for the holiday after scoring their exams and submitting the score sheets for their report cards. Before then and now I've had the plans I'll travel and spend time with family.
Even if I don't go extravagant or travel far for something big, the fact that I am able to change my environs for a holiday is always exciting for me. Seeing family and friends after a while is a whole different vibe that gives me joy. What is the most exciting part is the different fun activities set to happen in this month even into the new year.
The holidays may not be long enough for all I've got planned but for the excitement and relief, I'd be happy to go through it over and over at intervals of the serious works I have to get done through the year. Like I said, I won't keep working if I have a choice and I hope I keep having the choice in my work life going forward. What about you?
