The Day I Ran Out Of Coffee ( Wait! Am I addicted?

Hello, everyone in this amazing community, I was so excited to share my story when I saw the prompt for today ☺️. I'll be spilling the beans about a personal experience so Walk with me...................

Back when I was younger, I was bullied because of my size. It wasn't an easy time for me as I was still a little child growing up.
It was a very tough time for me as I found ways to take so many slimming teas to make me lose weight

I found out about coffee from my big sister's friend; she would always see me drinking herbal teas ( I was obsessed until I found coffee). One day, I heard her Randomly talking about coffee for weight loss and how it magically makes you active and good to go.
That was how I found out about coffee. I would take it in the morning and every night. It did tell on me because I was still quite young

My parents were not a fan of me taking coffee every day. The worst part of it was how my mum's friends would come to visit, and the first thing they would talk about was Nescafe and the side effects.
They told my mum how bad coffee was for me and how it wasn't so good for my health, considering I was only a teenager.
( I don't remember the weight loss aspect, but I'm sure I was already addicted to coffee because of the taste)
.

I used to buy the big pack then Because it wasn't as expensive as it is now. I wasn't working, so it was my mum's money I used to buy it.
Since she had been warning me not to take coffee, she decided not to buy it for me again.
I still remember that day like it happened yesterday. I was so sad and I cried my eyes out all because of coffee. For almost 3 Weeks, I didn't taste coffee

I was so glad about resuming school, and since my parents would normally give me money for lunch, I would set aside some money and buy the tiny pack of Nescafe and take it every morning in school, and on weekdays, I would take it when she wasn't around.
I felt so relieved and happy when I took my first sip of coffee again after some weeks of not smelling coffee. I think one of my favorite things about coffee is the smell. Taking coffee every morning is always a great way for me to start my day, especially when I have a big and hectic day ahead

Ps: Now I no longer hide to take coffee anymore; I'm now an adult, hehe☺️.

I also started taking coffee when I was young but not frequently. Now the reverse is the case as I take it almost everyday.

Sorry about what those mean kids did to you.

Thank you

It's certainly challenging having to hide our interests and enjoyments from parents, though worth remembering they only want what's best :) good for you, being able to have coffee now to your heart's desire!

Thank you for sharing such a detailed story with this week's prompt:)

Yes, it is.
Yeah, good for me 😊
Thank you

I understand you, the truth is that I don't think it is very advisable for children and teenagers to drink a lot of coffee. It should be more moderate, it is good, on the one hand, that your early love for coffee was the reason to start saving and buying, something you were happy with, greetings.

Yeah, as I grew older, I understood why they were against me drinking coffee. Thanks for your input

and who said you're now an adult looll....

I am 😅
