Traveling is wonderful. Who doesn't count down the hours until a trip is about to take place? It's a good feeling to plan the trip, look at the restaurants we can enjoy, look for the sights of that place and imagine ourselves there. It's great to have the opportunity to get to know other cultures and experience a bit of everyday life in a different place. Today I'm going to tell you a little about my last trip!
Well, I'm a beach lover. Maybe this passion is due to the fact that I live in a state that isn't bathed by the sea? Yes, maybe that influences my desire to always go to the coast. Brazil is a big country, some states are bigger than certain countries. So moving from one state to another just to go to the beach can be a really long trip, depending on where you live. Luckily (or unluckily) for me, I live about three and a half hours from the nearest beach, and not just any beach: I'm talking about the beaches of Rio de Janeiro. But you see, today I'm not going to talk about this wonderful place that I've visited a few times, I'm going to talk about Cabo Frio Beach, which is five hours from where I live and is also located in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Brazilian beaches are known for their beauty, and I like Cabo Frio because it's a very welcoming place for tourists. In fact, the city's main income comes from tourist activities. I like to go there whenever possible, it's perhaps the beach I've visited the most in my life. The place is beautiful, there's always something new to discover, and every visit brings a new surprise. The coastal atmosphere makes me feel good inside, and Cabo Frio always manages to give me that feeling when I'm on vacation there.
The city's main focus is on its beaches during the day, and there really are plenty of options. There are some smaller towns nearby that also offer some really nice attractions. The last time I went, I did one of the things I've always wanted to do: go boating. It was great and my son loved it too. We sailed past some beautiful places and, from afar, we saw a humpback whale. Imagine how happy I was to see it!
I think this last trip was one of the best I've ever been on, even though I only stayed for a week. I can't forget the strange animals I saw while walking along some of the rocks along the coast or a turtle emerging from the sea during the boat trip. The best thing about this trip was being able to share this experience with my son, who had last been to the beach when he was just a baby, and who was now able to really experience it with me. It was great to be able to walk along the beach and see the sparkle in his eyes when he saw the sea. I know what that feels like, because I also experienced it when I was about his age, on another occasion.
Well, I can't wait to go back to Cabo Frio again, hopefully later this year. I need to prepare and plan, because I want to discover other places, as I always do when I'm there. Perhaps this feeling of already knowing the city, but also of always being able to find new fantastic places around it, is what motivates me to return again and again. I can't wait to do it again!

Viajar é algo maravilhoso. Quem é que não conta as horas para uma viagem que está prestes a acontecer? É uma sensação boa planejar a viagem, olhar os restaurantes que poderemos desfrutar, procurar pelos pontos turísticos daquele lugar e nos imaginar ali. É ótimo ter a oportunidade de conhecer outras culturas e viver um pouco do cotidiano de um lugar diferente. Hoje vou contar um pouco de como foi a minha última viagem!
Bem, sou um cara apaixonado por praia. Talvez essa paixão seja pelo fato de eu morar em um estado que não é banhado pelo mar? Sim, talvez isso influencie nessa minha vontade de sempre querer ir para o litoral. O Brasil é um país grande, alguns estados são maiores que certos países. Então, sair de um estado para outro só para ir a uma praia pode realmente ser uma viagem longa, dependendo de onde você mora. Para minha sorte (ou azar), moro a aproximadamente três horas e meia da praia mais próxima, e não é uma praia qualquer: estou falando das praias do Rio de Janeiro. Mas veja bem, hoje não vou falar desse lugar maravilhoso que já visitei algumas vezes, vou falar da Praia de Cabo Frio, que fica a cinco horas de onde moro e também está localizada no estado do Rio de Janeiro.
As praias brasileiras são conhecidas por sua beleza, e gosto de Cabo Frio por ser um lugar bem acolhedor para os turistas. Na verdade, a principal receita da cidade vem das atividades turísticas. Gosto de ir lá sempre que possível, talvez seja a praia que mais visitei em toda minha vida. O lugar é lindo, sempre tem algo novo para ser descoberto, e cada visita traz uma nova surpresa. A atmosfera litorânea me faz sentir algo bom por dentro, e Cabo Frio sempre consegue me proporcionar essa sensação quando estou tirando férias por lá.
O foco principal da cidade está em suas praias durante o dia, e realmente existem muitas opções. Há algumas cidades menores por perto que também oferecem atrações bem legais. Da última vez que fui, fiz uma das coisas que sempre tive vontade: andar de barco. Foi muito legal e meu filho também adorou. Navegamos por alguns lugares lindos e, de longe, vimos uma baleia-jubarte. Imagine a felicidade dentro de mim ao presenciar isso!
Acho que essa última viagem foi uma das melhores que já fiz, mesmo tendo ficado apenas uma semana. Não me esqueço dos bichos estranhos que vi enquanto andava por algumas pedras do litoral ou de uma tartaruga emergindo do mar durante o passeio de barco. O melhor dessa viagem foi poder compartilhar essa experiência com meu filho, que havia ido à praia pela última vez quando ainda era apenas um bebê, e que agora pôde realmente vivenciar isso comigo. Foi ótimo poder caminhar pela praia e ver o brilho em seus olhos quando ele viu o mar. Eu sei bem como é essa sensação, pois também experimentei isso quando tinha mais ou menos a idade dele, em uma outra oportunidade.
Bem, não vejo a hora de voltar a Cabo Frio novamente, espero que seja ainda este ano. Preciso me preparar e me planejar, pois quero descobrir outros lugares, como sempre faço quando estou lá. Talvez essa sensação de já conhecer a cidade, mas também de sempre poder encontrar novos lugares fantásticos ao redor, seja o que me motiva a voltar sempre. Não vejo a hora de fazer isso novamente!!
