Happy New Year 2025 again. This period is still in the New Year's holiday season. For many people, there are appointments to meet up with friends or family, depending on the opportunity and needs. For me, this New Year, I traveled to meet friends in another city, which took about five hours by train to come here. This is the third time we have visited friends. And this time, the opportunity is good because it is New Year's, so I came to count down with friends today.
Today, there are about ten of us, including young children. Today, we have made an appointment to eat together. This is the second time all of us have met. The first time we met was at a restaurant last April. It has been eight months since we came back again. This time, we cooked food at the house of a friend we came to visit. So, we had time to prepare food and appetizers. This time, my friend was the host and I just helped a little bit. My friend said that I didn't need to help, but I felt bad. I helped set the table a little bit, so I did it.
After preparing the table, my friend prepared a large set of appetizers because there were many of us. After that, I got ready to take a shower. When I was done, I waited for my friends until everyone arrived. While waiting, I opened a few drinks. Then our friends started to arrive. Everyone brought something to give us. We also prepared something to give to our friends before. After standing and talking, we went to eat. It took a long time to finish each dish. There was a lot of food today. We were very full. We drank and ate while waiting for the countdown. When it was almost time, we prepared champagne to open for New Year. It was starting to get hectic, but the atmosphere was fun. I liked it.
Everyone was excited. They turned on the TV that was showing the live broadcast and counted down together. While we were preparing a glass each, we counted down the countdown to open the champagne. We wished each other good luck and played some fun music. Then we sat down to eat Christmas bread, which is popular these days. We brought this piece to give to our friends.
It was very delicious, soft, fragrant, and delicious. We cut it into small pieces to share. There was a cold drink that looked like yogurt. I forgot what it was called, but it had a little alcohol in it. I tried almost everything. It was delicious.
Then we played bingo. We each got two pieces of paper with numbers. We used peanut shells to pick numbers. I was lucky to get two prizes: five in a row and all of them I got the big prize. I was so happy and excited. I never knew before. It was past two in the morning when the game ended. We all went our separate ways to go home.
