Hello everyone! 👋 Showing you today my captures of our rain lily flowers. We have pink and white and I had never seen the rest of its variety. Apparently, six colours. I can imagjne how lovely they will look when all six colours will be in one plant box.
Did you know that they are not really lilies because they belong in the family of amaryllis not in the family of lilies but sometimes they're included in that family. Hmm, I don't have an issue to that. They look like a family to me. ☺ They're simple and elegant and so attractive. See how photogenic they are. 🥰
So how did they get their name? It is because they usually bloom a few days after a really soaking downpour/rain. Makes sense, right? 😀
Each flower lasts a few days and bloom again after a pouring rain throughout the season.
After the rainy season, they become dormant for a while and miraculously start giving off grass-looking leaves when rainy season begins.
What I'd like to see is more flowers from our rain lily plant. Because sometimes, we only get pink or just white. One or two but not more than five. Well, maybe because they don't bloom at the same time. Or maybe they need more TLC (tender loving care) 😊. Ok, ok, got it.
I hope you like my photos. Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful Friday, everyone! 🤗💥💫💯
