Action... Reaction!

I was reading @galenkp's post consequences and I was reminded of Newton's third law of physics.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If object A exerts a force on object B, object B also exerts an equal and opposite force on object A.

In other words, forces result from interactions. If Hive is to have any force then there should be some positve interactions.

Hive was the place I could just freely write about my feelings and challenge to create something in my free time. As time went by my account grew. In that time I took out some Hive and exchanged it for some other crypto. I was able to buy back more Hive later and my account grew more. My vote is still only a few cents but it is a few cents. Where else in the world could I make a nickel appear out of nowhere except for Hive?

I used to write almost every afternoon after classes, but because of a health problem I had to use that time for exercise and physical therapy. A year and a half ago, my son started high school and I got stress. I know I am not the one in high school so why am I stressed? It's because high school life in Korea is that stressful. I can talk to you about the ways they prepare tests to make everyone fail except the two students who memorized the book and took practiced tests at a cheat institute paying thousands of dollars that they don't have every month.

Instead I will tell you why their was a funeral yesterday in my son's high school. no it wasn't for suicide. My son used to tell me about a friend he had who was good at drawing. They would speak English together between classes and draw sketches during class. The boy was training for the Korean national team for the 2026 Winter Olympics. A few days ago, a van with his teammates and a few coaches was driving down the highway from a ski resort in New Zealand. Out of natural instinct the coach saw an oncoming car and turned to the right and the car hit head on and was split in half with my son's buddy gone forever. Maybe someone could blame the Korean Olympic sponsors for not giving the team enough allowance to hire a driver. Maybe it is what it is. Anyway, close friends will need some counseling including my son.

My youngest is in middle school and has some learning disabilities. The country is just now almost beginning to realize how valuable young people are for the nation. For years we have been paying out of our own pocket for special help. Just this year a program opened up to help him. Still our medical system is out of whack and he really needed braces for his teeth. I know these are first world problems and luxuries compared with all kinds of problems in the world, but I just want to say that it is thanks to the HBD that I could even think of getting the kids some braces. I took some HBD out of savings because he needs it. Medical insurance doesn't cover much on dental. I could take more work and make some extra money on the side but then I would be even more stressed. I have family coming from America to visit and I want to welcome them well. I would love to interact and upvote comments and stack up my Hive Power, but that is not really possible now.

As I am getting stronger i expect that I will interact more on Hive. The one thing selling the HBD did for me besides pay for my son's braces was to let my wife see why the Hive blog was important. For years she told me that cypto was dangerous and that blogging is giving my life away. In some aspects she was right. I had some sells left on the market on @ionomy and one day they just all disappeared. Some dude named Alan has what is left there I guess. Hey, Alan, I would like my Crypto back, but you knew that already. Thanks for the lesson, although a little expensive.

I think crypto is very secure until it gets to the market. That's the biggest risk involved. I don't think I will leave my cypto on any market for more than a couple days. I was very thankful for the HBDs I could save and think they are a good buy at 15% interest. I really never had a problem with my Hive account and have only benefited since I started. I kept in touch with interesting people. I learned more about writing and art and a lot more about crypto than I ever thought I would learn.

My teaching schedule seems to be a little better this semester. I plan to write more and would like to share with you once again. I have been cloning my tomatoes and started growing more. I also grow a yeast culture for baking. I have a lot more funny things and some sad things to share. I will in due time. Please don't feel discouraged by my absence.

With Love,

@mineopoly

The cover picture is the Brunch cafe that inspired me to make my own sour dough yeast starter. I love the taste. If you're in Korea the Australian cafe LUCYD is worth a visit. T

Action... Reaction! Therefore Interaction.
