Exactly at midnight, in the middle of an open field under the vast midnight sky, we found ourselves in a cozy little haven called "KOPI Kubo".
There is something magical about midnight conversations, especially when they are shared over a warm cup of coffee.
It was an unplanned break, a period of calm in our normally busy life, and it ended up becoming one of my favorite times spent with my sister and cousin.
The wind was softly uttering against the trees throughout the still night. Seated at our wooden table in the embrace of nature, the world appeared to slow down. Dim lighting, bamboo walls, and the earthy aroma of freshly brewed coffee created a basic atmosphere.
We could just be ourselves there, and it felt like home.
We had spent the entire day concerned with obligations and private interests.
Deep chats were ideal in KOPI Kubo, a charming small place away from the bustle of the city. Dim lighting, bamboo walls, and the earthy aroma of freshly brewed coffee created a basic atmosphere. We could just be ourselves there, and it felt like home.

Our midnight meeting focused on coffee and tea, whose heady scent filled the atmosphere. It felt as though the warmth touched our spirits and extended beyond our hands with each drink. But the tastes we shared were what really elevated the evening.
Then there came the siomai, a delicious treat that delighted our palates. Each mouthful had a cool crunch from the small pieces of pipino (cucumber) and chili paste on top. It was a surprising yet excellent combo. So yummy!😋
As the night stretched on, we found ourselves talking about life—our dreams, our fears, our hopes. There is something about being in an open field that makes you feel like anything is possible. Maybe it was the freedom of the night sky, the vastness above reminding us that we are just small beings with endless possibilities ahead.
My cousin talked about the desire to have a peaceful and contented life, where being simple is a means of achieving true contentment rather than only a decision. My sister talked about her aspirations to travel, see the globe, and engage with various cultures. And understanding that these little moments are what give life its beauty, I found myself just savoring the present.
We also discussed difficulties, such as the difficulties of maturity and the occasionally overwhelming duties. But there was always humor in between the sad conversations.
The greatest moments aren't often found in big plans or exciting experiences. They are occasionally discovered in the middle of a field at midnight, surrounded only by food, coffee, and sincere chatter. Joy may be found in simplicity, as that night at KOPI Kubo served as a reminder.
It may be found spoken beneath the stars, in the company of loved ones, and in the comfort of a cup of coffee.
As we finished our last sips and prepared to head home, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Life may not always be easy, and the road ahead may still be uncertain, but in that moment, everything felt right. We walked away from KOPI Kubo with full hearts, knowing that this midnight coffee date was more than just a break—it was a memory we would carry with us forever.
And perhaps, on another quiet night, we will find ourselves there again, sipping coffee and talking about life, dreaming under the midnight sky.
