Albino Mallard Duck

This was an albino mallard duck, I have only ever seen this one. I really didn't think as much of how unique and rare this was at the time. I have seen hundreds of different ducks over the years, and all of them had their normal patterns. It was a fairly friendly duck and did come up to me a couple of times, which they don't usually do. I believe it could have been a female, but I really don't know; the brownish parts of its feathers seem to match the lady mallards the closest.

It might be a cross bred, as the female mallards are quite defenseless against the bigger white geese males. We saw an issue of a white goose forcing a mallard female into submission.

That sounds possible for sure; thats very interesting I did not know that kind of thing happens.

Well, that's true as we actually saw it happening at a local dam. !LOL

Good morning dear friend @mmckinneyphoto13
I love this species of duck, the colors of its feathers are very striking

It certainly does stand out, I think it looks pretty neat for sure.
