I have been encountering young robins on a semi-regular basis after almost never seeing ones this young. I would see adults quite frequently on my lawn, but now seeing the youth, I find it almost optimistic, like there is enough to sustain these birds through generation after generation. This one looks like it might be hitting the teenage years and getting close to adult hood. It stands with the same distinguished stance that I see the older robins have. Its feathers look a little less fluffy and are starting to smooth out.
