We have all seen how water can take so many different forms and make different shapes. I have done this project a few times where I will use a macro lens to get close-ups of water as it splashes. The shapes are always mesmerizing; they will look like liquid metal, especially in monochrome. Catching the water as it falls from the tap is also interesting; I have an aerator on my faucet that I can adjust to help create the little beads of water falling. The most important factor in doing these is using a flash; it is the best way to freeze the action, as the water can move quite fast, and a brief burst of light will let your camera capture the forms that the water makes.
