One of my favorite spots in Alberta is Moraine Lake. A short drive from Lake Louise, it has also become a fairly famous spot, so famous they had to start limiting traffic here to keep the crowding down. Fortunately, when I went, it wasn't too busy; some people were taking canoes on the lake, and I decided to take a walk around the lake on a very easygoing pathway.
It's a great spot for some landscape photos; the lake in the foreground leading out to the tall mountains creates a nice effect, and I think I would like to try it from a boat one of these days to see what kind of views I can get.
