Even though they look like they have fur, these penguins have feathers. Two layers of them, short, stiff, and locked together to keep them warm. They also seem fairly friendly; my local zoo will take them on daily walks outside if the weather permits. They look to be fairly playful, and several different species of them coexist here, swimming and playing all day. I almost want to take some home with me, but I am sure they are well looked after.
