The scientific name of red vented bulbul bird is Pycnonotus cafer. The bird is abundant in our country and seems to be increasing in numbers day by day. The bird roams our locality and the village is mesmerized by their call. Although other birds are on the verge of extinction, the breeding of this bird is increasing. The reason may be that there is a favorable environment for the bird to live here.

This picture shows the bird ready to eat the fruit. The bird ate this fig. People sometimes eat this fruit as a vegetable. The food of this bird is also fruit and really sufficient

Red-vented bulbuls can breed twice in the same season. Each clutch lays 2 to 3 eggs. Their breeding season is from April to September. The male bird attracts the female bird in various ways for breeding, while the male bird can invite for sex by wagging his tail. Leaves, dried rice plants, bamboo kanchi etc. make a nest. The female bird can lay eggs in this nest. The mother bird heats the egg and after 14 days the egg hatches and the baby comes out.

The bird is 20 cm long and has a black crest on its head. Red-vented bulbuls are easily identified by red feathers on the back of the bird under the tail. Its tail is long with a length of 9.5 cm. The tail is black and the end of the tail is white. Their feathers are black and brown, tipped white. At the base of the bird's wings it looks like a fish's tail.

They live in forested areas, villages where there are crop fields. In addition, they live in holes on the banks of the river. Their main food is insects. They also eat fruits and seeds of weeds. Aims at the prey by flying and hunts with a thud. Keep doing this again and again while hunting.

I myself have seen that these birds fight among themselves. That day there were three birds who were fighting with each other. At that time they became very brave. I was five feet away from them but they were not afraid. When I thought they should stop fighting, I waved them off with my hands and mouth. They are called fighting birds because they fight like this. During the fight, they do not pay attention to anything else, so at this time the birds can be caught by the hunter and lose their lives and become food for others. They make loud calls especially during fights.

Birds can be seen jumping under small trees and grass. At this time he looks around and notices the insect. Sometimes Kichir Michihir calls. They live close to people and roam in nature. The good thing is that their numbers are increasing and in nature they need the environment to maintain balance. They are now widely seen in rural areas. People are not angry with them and people don't bother them. But some people should stop hunting these birds. For this reason, we have a law in our country that prohibits killing birds, but the law is rarely enforced
