I've recently been trying to increase my collection of Chaos Legion cards. In my opinion, this is the best edition to build a collection with right now, since the cards are very cheap and they are useful and powerful. It can also be played in both Modern and Wild formats. Even if it leaves Modern soon because a new edition of cards will come out and replace it in that format, it will still be very useful in Wild, which is the format I'm currently playing. That's why I decided to start building my collection with this edition.
The best strategy is to buy the cards directly from the Splinterlands market, since they are cheap and you can select which cards you want to buy. However, I recently opened some Chaos Legion packs and got lucky, so I felt the urge to open more packs, which is what I'm going to do today.
Even though opening packs is fun and exciting, I still prefer not to rely on luck, so I'll only open packs once in a while to satisfy this desire of mine, and my main focus will be on buying cards on the market because I still consider it the best strategy to build a collection in the game, since you won't depend on luck.
Today I decided to buy 3 more Chaos Legion packs and they cost me 3.80 Swap.Hive. Now I'm going to open them and let's see if I'll have the same luck as last time.
Luckily I still have enough Alchemy potions and Legendary potions for these 3 packs, but if I'm going to open more later, I'll need to open some Loot Chests first to get more potions or buy them directly from the rewards store with Glint.
This time I was just unlucky, I didn't get any legendary cards or any Gold Foil cards so it was a loss, but luckily if I consider my previous pack opening I'm still in profit and that's why I mentioned that the best strategy is to buy the cards directly on the market because relying on luck often won't be a good idea, but I still intend to open more packs in the future because I think it's fun and exciting, so taking a chance every now and then isn't a bad idea and also you never know when you'll get a Gold Foil legendary card.
