After a few years away from Splinterlands, many changes were made and one of them was replacing focus and season chests with a rewards store where you can choose to buy Rarity Draws, Gold Foil Rarity Draws, Loot Chests, Resources and Exclusives as titles. To be honest, I still preferred the old Splinterlands where I could get tradable cards and SPS in the chests. Now, to get tradable cards I need to pay a high amount of DEC to unlock them and only then try to make some profit on the market with them. But despite not really liking these changes, there are still tradable items that I can get for "free" like titles or even a jackpot in Loot Chests.
Today I decided to try Loot Chests for the first time and since I want to try to win a jackpot despite the low chances, I'm going to buy some Ultimate Chests to see what I can get from them.
The season is over and this is how I earned Glint during it. I still have to come up with some strategies and see if I can play in the Champion league, but I'm still looking at the cost-benefit of doing so.
Adding the amount of Glint I earned at the end of the season to the amount I earned during the season, I have a total of 73,524 Glint, which is enough to open 16 Ultimate Chests.
I didn't get any jackpots or even any Gold Foil cards, but I found it interesting that now it's possible to earn Energy from the chests, so even if I don't earn SPS from them, I can still battle more often, which means more SPS gain during the season. I still prefer the old chest mode where you could win SPS from them because you had a chance to get an SPS and for those who played in the Diamond League or Champion League, you could win a large amount of SPS even if it wasn't a jackpot but they're still not very bad changes and I also found it interesting that now you can select which rarity you want to win in Draws, so for those who want to collect cards these are great changes.
