Normally me and hubby do not step out much on weekdays. By the time he comes home from work, it's late and then he needs to rest as well. These days his schedule has also been very busy, and he brings a lot of work at home. I do not like that but there's no choice, he needs to do it since it's a new project that they have launched and there's lot of work around it. Anyways, day before yesterday he was home early and he only suggested that we go out for dinner.
Then we were thinking which place to go, both of us enjoy Asian cuisine, so we decided to dine out at an Asian cuisine restaurant. We have been to this place couple of times before and we know the food is good here. There are some dishes which are a specialty of this place like the Peking Duck and their Fried Ice-cream is a all time hit. I have never had this fried ice-cream anywhere before. When the first time I had visited this place with a friend, he had suggested to try and I was in two minds, I am not a person who like to experiment with my pallet but then he insisted so I gave it a try and to be honest, I just loved it and since then whenever I am here, this dish is a must have.
The set up of this place is also very traditional style, It feels like you are transported to some Asian country :-) The name of this restaurant is Golden Oryx.
These are some pictures of the Garden area of the restaurant.
Some pictures of the interiors
I felt like I was sitting in some restaurant in Japan or China :-)
Now it's time to order food. Both of us are not very heavy eaters, we ordered for 2 appetizers and a soup and that seemed to be just enough for us.
Their fried Wantons are delcious.
We ordered one dish of Prawns in Garlic sauce, here we went wrong because it turned out to be a little sweet and both of us do not like sweet flavors in our food, anyways it was nice.
They served us some complimentary salad, which is standard for all guests.
And the grand finale, my favorite Fried Ice-cream....it was delicious.
We ate very well and did not stuff ourselves. It was a nice weekday break which we normally do not take.
Thank you for visiting my blog. 👼🏻👼🏻💖💖🌹🌺🌸
