On today's episode of being creative, we decided to weave a mat using cardboard paper. This is one of the things I was taught while in school so I decided to also pass the knowledge down to my kids.
Walk with me as we create a mat using cardboard paper.
Materials Needed: Cardboard papers, scissors, ruler, paper gum, or liquid gum and pencil.
We started by measuring the cardboard paper with our ruler 9 inches long, and 1 inch wide. We then cut them out to form a rectangle strip but not to the end. We picked another cardboard paper(a different color this time) and did the same but to the end so that it could be removed entirely.
We picked one strip and weaved it over and under the other cardboard paper that wasn't cut to the end. We do this repeatedly and do the same with other strips till it reaches where we cut it and stop.
We cut out the edges when we were done with our scissors and glue them together.
And these beauties came out.🤭💃
Let me know your thoughts on this....
Meanwhile, a mat can be made using different methods, I would love to know your method of weaving a mat in the comment section.
Thank you so much for reading and supporting our creative journey.❤️🫶✨
