Hello, friends!
Today I want to tell you all about my vacation at HiveFest.
To be honest, I work a lot, constantly surrounded by noise, and my job requires endless communication with many people throughout the day.
Overall, the same was happening at HiveFest. 😁
On the one hand, it's really cool! But on the other, it didn’t allow my nervous system to rest and reset.
Since this was my first vacation in 3 years, I really needed at least one or two days to spend alone with myself, my thoughts, the sea, and in silence.
So, the day after the Gala dinner, while everyone was partying at Diocletian's Palace, I went to my favorite beach. 😄
The day was perfect for me.
There were few people on the beach, and the sea was amazing! It was a bit stormy, and I love a stormy sea! It was so much fun swimming with the waves and very calming to watch them.
Once again, I took a lot of beautiful photos! This is important to me. 😁
The most beautiful pictures were taken at sunset. 😍
After spending the day alone, in the evening, I freshened up in my apartment and happily went to dinner with my parents and our friends from Hive.
We had a delicious dinner at a vegan restaurant (I really enjoyed the burger, even though I’m not a vegan) and talked about various interesting topics while there was a thunderstorm outside.
The next day, I slept for a long time and rested so well that even the not-so-great weather and the cold wind didn't spoil my mood. 😄
The sea was even stormier, and it was so beautiful! I managed to catch some sun and sunbathe, do a few fitness exercises, take photos of my mom and myself, and just relax, enjoying the sea.
In the evening, we met our Hive friends again. We found a cool bar with great music and tasty cocktails.
On the fourth day of HiveFest, in the morning, our friends picked us up in a rented car, and together we went to the fortress.
It’s located outside the city, on a hill, so the view from there is incredible! In my opinion, it's very beautiful when mountains, the sea, and a view of the city come together.
In general, I really love visiting such historical places. I always imagine how it was when people lived there.
I even tried on medieval Croatian armor, which weighs 27 kg. 😄
That day, there was also a rally planned, which took place in a very picturesque location (which, as I now understand, is typical for Croatia 😄).
The atmosphere was wonderful.
We were treated to very tasty pizza and drinks; we had a snack, chatted, and then had the chance to ride on the track with a professional driver.
After the rally, the weather allowed me to spend another 2 hours on the beach, which I did, as it was the last warm day, and the next one was forecasted to be cold. (Spoiler: and so it was 😅)
This great day ended with closing drinks in Antique bar. We had a great time eating sushi, drinking cocktails, chitchat with new friends near the sea.
The last day of HiveFest was spent on a boat, even though our trip was canceled twice due to weather conditions.
The day was really cold.
At first, everything was quite calm, even the sea was calm, the sun was peeking out, and the sky was covered with very beautiful clouds. It was perfect for photos.
For the first hour, I was thoroughly enjoying myself. I played a playlist of siren songs on my headphones, gazed at the sea, and almost fell into a meditative state.
But the further we went into the sea, the stronger the wind became. At one point, I realized that I couldn't stand on my feet, and I’d never felt such a strong wind before. 😅 I was freezing.
It got easier when we docked at a quiet island. The wind there wasn't as strong or cold. We spent an hour there. Some people even went swimming. 😄
I just walked around the island.
When we returned to the boat, a delicious lunch was waiting for us. I chose fish and salad. After eating and a glass of wine, I finally felt warmer. 😄👍🏻
We returned to shore earlier than planned due to the weather conditions. But I was happy about that, as I was tired of being cold. 😂
So, we said goodbye to our new friends on the pier and headed to the airport.
My impression of HiveFest was exclusively positive! Everything went even better than I expected!
All the participants were very friendly, kind, and sincere! I met many great people, and that’s extremely valuable!
The organization was top-notch! There were many interesting events, delicious food, and beautiful locations.
I'm already looking forward to next year!
You all are amazing!
Thank you for your visit and support!
Cheers,
