It's throwback Thursday! Flashing back to the memories of the past brought a smile to my face as I kept reflecting on this event that took place on the 1st of October, 2024.
To start with, I had a very bad experience prior to this day, and so I was so moody and kind of depressed, locking myself indoors and thinking about my life and how things were unfolding negatively. In the process, a very good friend of mine, Amiable, called to check on me and see if I will be attending the real estate event on October 1st. I immediately declined, telling her that I wasn't in the mood for any event. She insisted that I get myself prepared for the event while we talk about the depressing issues out there.
I think one of the best decisions I took in that state of my mind that day was to listen to Amiable and get set for the event. Immediately we entered the event center; wow, my mood started changing. The décor alone was quite captivating. I kept wowing, looking around and seeing lots of happy faces, dancing, taking selfies, eating, and catching up. I was feeling better mentally, and gradually I loved that I came for the event.
That very day was a public holiday, my country celebrated their 64 year Independence and our real estate company seized the opportunity to host events where both the POBs and clients are recognized and giving awards for their commitments in real estate industry. Since I joined PWAN real estate company as a PBO three years ago, I have witnessed lots of similar events and have won two electronics through their raffle games. It's usually a fun filled event with lots of activities including comedians at the stage.
Amongst many fun activities I witnessed in the events, which included dance from some talented artists, songs, and motivational talks, comedy made me forget my worries. The invited comedian truly knows his onions very well and couldn't stop cracking people up with lots of jokes, hahaha. I was afraid of having my tummy burst out of the laughter I had there... lolz. This type of outdoor activity is a game changer for relieving mental stress, I think, because I felt totally okay halfway through the event.
We also had this popular Nigerian actor grace the event.
Many people were running to have a shot with him, hehehe. That's what happens here when a celebrity visits, but then I only took a shot from my seat, enjoying the fun with the chilled fruit drinks served at our table.
To say that Pwan Company tried with entertainment is an understatement. Despite the inflation, they made sure that everyone who witnessed the event was satisfied.
At some point, I didn't want the event to finish, but then, whatever has a beginning must have an end. Overall, I had a fun-filled day through the event, and more especially, the activities over there changed my sad mood, and I was alright again.
Indeed a memorable experience.
