The 2024/2025 season of the English Premier league kickstarted last week and with that the Fantasy League. This years records over 9 million teams competition and showcasing their managerial skills and it promises to be an exciting season for FPL managers.

My goal for the 2024/2025 season is to finish in the top 1 million position. My highest rank in the last six years of actively playing is 1453332th, so making the top 1m rank would be a new record (if I achieve this feat).

TEAM SELECTION. I allocated my resources amongst some of top FPL assets. The goal was to get as many attack minded players as possible. I was able to get the likes of Haaland, Isak, Pedro Porro and Trent. They are my long time investment. However, FPL is more than just having top assets. Form, match fixtures and chips usage play a much greater role in determining ones team success.

I was able to rack in 62 points in Game week One. My best performing asset was Pedro Porro from Spurs with 9 points, followed by Trent and Jota with 8 points respectively. I was gutted for removing Salah (who had a goal and assist) from my team, but I had to choice between Him and Haaland, and based on ManCity's fixtures for the next 3-4 weeks, I believe he would bring good returns.

For Gameweek Two, I have brought in Mazraoui (Manchester United) to replace Barco (Brighton). There is not much I want to change about my tea until Gameweek 5 when I plan to bring i the likes of Salah and Mbeumo (if he maintains his form).

So that will be all for my FPL update. Cheers!
