Монета з гладким гуртом важить 15.55 г й має розмір 33 мм. Для допису “Микола Амосов, монета зі срібла, серія “Видатні особистості України”, 2013 рік, номінал 5 гривень” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України. Гурт виробу гладкий. Фактичний тираж склав 5 тисяч.
Зворотний бік. В центрі монети зображено портрет легендарного хірурга, поруч вказано роки життя. Ім'я та прізвище нанесено угорі по колу.
Аверс. Номінал вказано в нижній частині. Справа викарбувано рік введення монети в обіг. Угорі традиційно нанесено назву банку й Герб. А ось центральну частину займає серце й стилізоване зображення його кардіограми.

The reverse side. In the center of the coin is a portrait of the legendary surgeon, next to which are the years of life. The first and last name are written above in a circle.
Obverse. The denomination is indicated in the lower part. The year of the introduction of the coin into circulation is engraved on the right. The name of the bank and the Coat of Arms are traditionally applied at the top. But the central part is occupied by the heart and a stylized image of its cardiogram.
