Привіт! Монета присвячена видатному вченому, що винайшов особливості рентгенівських променів та залишив після величний об'єм наукових праць. Введена в дію 25 січня.
Монета важить 15.55 г й має розмір 33 мм. Для допису “Серія монет “Видатні особистості України”: Іван Полюй, 2010 рік, срібло, номінал 5 гривень” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України. Загальний тираж 5 тисяч. Монети мають гладкий гурт.
Реверс. У лівій частині викарбувано портрет винахідника, поруч вказано його ім'я та прізвище, роки життя. В нижній частині нанесено його відомий вислів.
Лицьова сторона. Назва регулятора та Герб традиційно розміщені угорі, внизу — номінал та рік. Центральну частину займає один з перших в історії рентгенівських знімків.

Greetings! The coin is dedicated to the outstanding scientist who invented the features of X-rays and left behind a great volume of scientific works. Entered into force on January 25.
The coin weighs 15.55 g and measures 33 mm. Two photos from the official website of the National Bank Ukraine. The total circulation is 5 thousand. Coins have a smooth band.
Reverse. In the left part, a portrait of the inventor is engraved, next to it are indicated his name and surname, years of life. His famous saying is written in the lower part.
Front side. The name of the regulator and the coat of arms are traditionally placed at the top, the denomination and the year are at the bottom. The central part is occupied by one of the first X-ray images in history.
