Привіт! Гарна монета із серії Видатні особистості України присвячена 170 річниці від дня народження відомого українського драматурга. Його унікальні п'єси вражають реалістичністю і це не дивно, адже саме такий драматичний напрямок і є основою для їх написання.
Вага виробу з нейзильберу складає 12.8 г, а розмір 31 мм. Монета має номінал 2 гривні. Введена в обіг 14 вересня 2015 року загальним тиражем 30 тисяч штук. Для допису “Видатні особистості України: монета з нейзильберу Іван Карпенко-Карий 2015 рік” використано дві світлини з офіційного сайту Національного банку України.
Реверс. У верхній частині по колу нанесено ім'я та прізвище українського діяча культури та роки його життя. В центральній частині нанесено стилізовану композицію, що повною мірою відображає життя Карпенка-Карого. Він зображений у ролі ляльковика. У правій частині художники зобразили його хутір.
Лицьова сторона. Верхня частина присвячена національним символам. Внизу нанесено рік виготовлення (справа), а з іншого боку — лого МД. Нижче викарбувано номінал — 2 гривні. Основну частину монети з рифленим гуртом займають театральні елементи й сцена.

Hello! A beautiful coin from the Outstanding Personalities of Ukraine series is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the birth of the famous Ukrainian playwright. The weight of the nickel silver product is 12.8 g, and the size is 31 mm. The coin has a face value of 2 hryvnias. It was put into circulation on September 14, 2015 with a total circulation of 30,000 pieces. Two photos from the official site were used for the post "Prominent personalities of Ukraine: Ivan Karpenko-Karyy nickel silver coin 2015" of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse. In the upper part, the name and surname of the Ukrainian cultural figure and the years of his life are written in a circle. In the central part, a stylized composition is applied, which fully reflects the life of Karpenko-Kary. He is depicted as a puppeteer. In the right part, artists depicted his village.
Front side. The upper part is devoted to national symbols. At the bottom is the year of manufacture (on the right), and on the other side is the MD logo. The denomination is 2 hryvnias engraved below. The main part of the coin with a fluted band is occupied by theatrical elements and a stage.
