In this life I live. I've seen people be successful, I've seen people fail. Humility and gratitude puts people in high places. Arrogance and ingratitude, speaks sweet poems to a person's fall.
It is said that, when you are thankful for the little you receive, you will receive more. When you feel entitled to somebody's pocket, you will end up not knowing how that pocket smells.
We live in a generation where people feel entitled to you pockets. Even none relatives. Ask a girl to be your girlfriend, and, depending on your occupation, she will want you to place her on a monthly salary, just because you said that you love her.
When I was in school, I always want to extend my kindness to everybody.
A friend called and asked me for some money. He explained his situation to me, and said that he wanted some money to buy food.
I transferred some money to him, so he gets something to eat, then I continued with what I was doing. After about thirty minutes, he did not call me to confirm the transfer, so I called him.
He confirmed the transfer and ended the call.
I became pissed. I was expecting a thank you, from him, but I got none. I refused to talk to him about it.
He said that he will reimburse me, but up till date, I have not seen anything..I didn't ask him about it, because, I gave him the money without expecting nothing in return.
Last week, he called me and asked me for some money. I actually have spare change, but I refused to give it to him. I gave him excuses in place of money.
I don't think I will ever do anything for him again.
