Hello, everyone.
I welcome you to my blog. It still feels like yesterday when we ushered in the year 2024; funny how it has ended, and we are now in a new year (2025), which best explains why they say time waits for nobody. Whether you get to work or keep postponing when to actually get to work, the clock keeps ticking and does not wait until you get to work before it starts to tick, because time waits for no one. This is why procrastination is a silent killer, because the more you procrastinate, the more you have little or no time on your side to actually get things done.
The beginning and ending part of every year is very important and crucial to many people because of how they use it, at the ending part of the year many Individuals try to reflect on the year that is about to end and try to see the mistakes they made, things they did wrong, things they achieved in the year and they try to see if they actually achieved all or at least half of their set goals for the year and most of all the lessons learnt from their experiences in the year while the begining of the year is used to make plans for the year as well as set goals they plan to achieve, the beginning of the year is that time many individuals make the decision not to make the same mistakes they made in the previous year.
For many individuals, last year was a challenging year indeed because of how the economy of our country and the world at large came crashing down, especially my country's economy; the price of everything skyrocketed, and everyone had to work double to make ends meet. The price of everything skyrocketing put everyone under a lot of stress and pressure; things you could get with just 2 percent of what you earn now require 5 percent. It was not an easy year, as there were ups and downs, but these ups and downs came with lessons and experiences that helped shape us into what we are today.
One lesson I learned from last year is to never completely rely on people, as they might disappoint; most of the time, all you have got is you, and you just have to work. Sometimes I hear people complain because an uncle or a relative did not offer to help them; nobody owes you anything; the money is theirs and not yours, and they will decide how to spend it, and you just have to accept whatever happens. If they decide to help, fine, and if they don't, work a way to get whatever problem you have facing you worked out. Nobody owes you anything; people decide how to spend their funds, and not helping you is their decision, and there is little or nothing you can do about it.
The year and the challenges that came with it also taught me resilience; the only way one can actually survive what we have been through in this part of the world is through resilience and hard work. The country's economy leaves you no choice but to go hard; even giving up is not an option, as you must stay resilient if you really want to be independent and not rely on people that might end up disappointing you in the end.
