He's never been in such a big team. He's not mentally ready for the pressure of such a huge organisation like Real Madrid. Spain is not France, he's confronted with better football in Spain.
The above paragraph are reasons people give for his poor form in Madrid. My answer to all those is that, they have succeeded in producing the wrong reasons behind Mbappe's form.
Just yesterday[as at time of writing], it was a chastening 3–1 defeat by AC Milan, right at the Bernabeu. That's a Milan team that is still quite shaky this season and for me, in Fonseca, Milan don't have the coach to enable them rub shoulders with the very best.
Back to Marid. We might able to the question Madrid's defensive structure as a whole in the last few weeks, but given the title of this blog, you cab imagine that I'm concerned with the attack– and particularly Mr. Kylian Mbappe. Yet again, don't they say that the greatest form of defense is attack? Mbappe, the once revered hit-man in front of goal is now goal-shy.
THE REASONS
There's one major reason. IT IS THE CHANGE OF HIS POSITION.
A supporting reason is that he isn't adaptable to the new position. Second supporting reason is that Rodrygo still plays.
Everybody knows to clear the road when Mbappe is on the left alley with the ball on his feet or when he is in same alĺey running unto a through pass. He is a genuine force of God given ability there, as he weaves, cuts, steps-over or zooms past the opposition and hits the ball beyond the goalie. These days you see little of these and when he gets opportunities he hardly buries them.
Now he is instructed to play through the middle(eventhough he can drift to either side at times), which obviously is a striker's role.
That's the problem! That's not Mbappe's game and he has expressed his displeasure with it before in both club and country and they agreed with him.
But here's an opportunity to sign up with the club of his dreams and he is willing to make any sacrifice. To be fair to him, he has embraced the new role with open arms, but unfortunately the more he tries, the worse he becomes and the worse the team becomes.
A Subplot
Already, Mbappe's presence meant that Jude Belligham began to play deeper than before Mbappe. It changed Jude's game, as he wasn't meant to be as close to goal as before and deliver the delicious goals he once scored. Now the result of that is that even when Jude gets chances to score he isn't nearly as lethal as before because being kept away from his previous position on the field, his confidence level has plummeted greatly. Anyone who knows football, knows the importance of confidence.
Mbappe too has begun to suffer a little from confidence crisis as he keeps missing goals. Let me not forget to say that he has retained his great movement off the ball, but something about his new position affects the way he calculates when it's time to shoot the ball beyond the goalie. How sad.
It became exaggerated when the man on the right wing– Rodrygo — got injured few weeks back. With Rodrygo, Mbappe has another trickster like Vini, making it two players who could deliver assists to him or score themselves to give the team victories, buying Mbappe some time as it were.
Well Mbappe signed for all these troubles. I remember in my blog Kylian Mbappe to Arsenal when I said—
"Now everybody talks of Madrid, especially as he nearly left for Madrid, last summer before renewing with PSG. So even if Madrid comes for Mbappe in January(given that they are not likely to cough out a large sum shortly after buying Bellingham), Mbappe's preferred position is occupied by their Brazilian gem, Vinicius jnr. Remember that Mbappe is not at a stage in his career where he would like to improvise, he has complained about improvising in PSG and that is why PSG planned a summer to tackle his complain.
Or maybe Vini will be shifted to the centre like was done to Neymar?"
Then I closed same blog saying,
"Barca ain't gonna come. By now you may know the team that will gift him his preferred role(with absolutely no qualms shifting another Brazilian) and give him the platform for the success he so dearly craves.
Only Man City is a proper threat, forget Manchester United and them all. One can hope Pep doesn't imagine this option. But again it would take Pep to alter his system quite a lot because Mbappe with his strong character doesn't seem like one to alter his style of play. Pep is very likely to count the cost of team synergy and spirit and back-off.

CONCLUSION
Well ofcourse the Arsenal thing was just wishful thinking, we already knew where Mbappe's mind was, but the issue with position I raised is haunting him now.
Two Solutions:
1] Rodrygo may need to be sacrificed so that Mbappe fully occupies the right and as such can be switching wings with Vinicius jnr. This thing through the middle may not work.
2] Patience. The status-quo is maintained with that Vini-Mbappe-Rodrigo attack and Mbappe will learn with time. Afterall before Rodrigo's injury Real were finding a way to pick up results.
