Hello, beautiful people! Welcome to my blog. It's a pleasure to have you in this space. Once again, welcome 🤗
Even though I am not a big eater, I still value my overall well-being, which makes me very mindful of what I eat. I strongly believe that what we eat plays a significant role in our well-being.
So back to the question of whether I have eating habits or not. I actually have eating habits. I don't eat any kind food. I choose what I eat. I ensure I eat a complete balanced diet, and as much as possible, I avoid food with unhealthy fat, food with too much sugar or salt, and I hardly take soda.
Also, I eat slowly. I don't know how to rush my meals or eat in a haste. I remember one time when I was still in the boarding house in high school, I and my friends joined our food together in a big tray. That was my first time ever of joining them, and I noticed how every one of them was rushing the food, so I decided to join them, and at my first attempt, I choked, and tears were literally coming out of my eyes. Never again did I try that.
I cannot eat fast, not even to save my life.
I know there are people that don't drink water while they are still eating; that can't be me. I drink water in between my meals whenever I am eating.
And most importantly, I pay attention to hunger and fullness cues. Once I'm full, I stop eating. I know few persons that even when they are full, they continue eating. That is a very unhealthy eating habit. Your stomach has its capacity, which should be respected and not exceeded if you want to live a healthy life.
In answering the question "do you tend to eat whatever you crave for?"
No, I don't. It's normal for us as humans to have different food cravings, but I don't agree to attending to them always. Most of the things we crave are unhealthy. Most of this food, snacks, or junk can lead to weight gain because of the high calories, sugar, or fat in them. And the more we ingest these things into our system, the more we expose our bodies to adverse health conditions and repercussions that were avoidable, if only we stuck to the guidelines.
