Ohhh mis abuelos por parte de padre tenían una pequeña colección de las Selecciones Reader’s Digest. Me habría gustado quedarme con ella de recuerdo y no tuve la oportunidad. Verlos aquí me ha desbloqueado bonitos recuerdos. Ahora veo de dónde sacas parte de tus habilidades para la escritura, tus lecturas han sido variadas y eso se nota. Me sorprendió conocer tu afición por la astrología, qué interesante. Por sus lecturas se conoce también a las personas, jeje.

Ohhh my grandparents on my father's side had a small collection of the Reader's Digest Selections. I would have liked to keep it as a souvenir and I didn't have the opportunity. Seeing them here has unlocked beautiful memories for me. Now I see where you get some of your writing skills, your readings have been varied and that shows. I was surprised to know your fondness for astrology, how interesting. People are also known by their readings, hehe.

Yo tenía un montón, las compraba mensualmente y las amigas me la pedían, también les regale a mi odontólogo, a la ginecóloga todos querían tener estas pequeñas revistas tan amenas y nutritivas. Me decían que los pacientes se las llevaban, algunos se los pedían y otros simplemente la metían en sus carteras, total eran tan pequeñas y fáciles de llevar.

A mis hijos les encantaba los chistes y con eso lograba que leyeran mucho. En una ocasión me enviaron un cheque me pagaron una colaboración.

Me encanta la astrología le mande hacer la carta a mis tres hijos y la mía, pienso que eso me ayudo en algunos momentos de sus vidas.
Si los antiguos tenían sabios y astrólogos para guiar su futuro algo de fondo hay en ello. Claro no todo el mundo tiene una verdadera capacidad interpretativa. Leemos hasta en la Biblia interpretando los sueños, la capacidad del hombre por ver el futuro esta allí latente simplemente.

If the ancient wise men and astrologers had to guide their future there is some substance in it. Of course, not everyone has true interpretive ability. We even read in the Bible interpreting dreams, man's ability to see the future is simply latent there.

Pienso que la clave del éxito de esas revistas fue precisamente lo que comentas de su tamaño, fácil de llevar a todas partes, y que estaban adaptadas para que cualquiera las pudiera entender.
Qué bueno que tus hijos hayan tenido tu acompañamiento para la lectura. A mí me tocaba discutir con mi madre porque me quedaba enganchada con los libros y no atendía ni cuando me llamaba para comer, jajaja. Me decía que me iba a quedar ciega de tanto leer, lo que son las cosas. Ahora ella se apuntó a un club de lectura, me hizo feliz cuando me lo dijo.
Llevas toda la razón en el tema de la astrología. Algo hay cuando ha pervivido durante siglos y ha servido de ayuda a los poderosos.

Si la revista era muy cómoda y variada a mis hijos les encantaba, la verdad me dio mucha tristeza cuando ya no la conseguía aquí en mi ciudad.
Claro hay muchos astrólogos falsos y hay los que han estudiado mucho, encontraremos una variedad a lo largo de la historia. A veces pienso que puede servir de guía para muchas cosas.
