Come to think of it, I am also a bit fond of the color, and I'll show you why.
3 shots of grey with a bit of sun halo color, and then some other greys, with birds.
Yes, I know that when the sky is grey, it is in low light conditions for photography, but thankfully my camera has a low light setting. It makes photography so much easier, and sadly I still cannot get night shooting correct on the camera yet. So, in here I will show you some low light shots at random, and you can make up your mind if you like it.
I must admit then in some of the shots some color was shown, but it only enhances the fact that grey can match nicely with other colors.
Come and see.
This below is the last of the sun halo shots, and I hope that you are aware that the halo is a warning of impending rain showers. I call the halo my weather man :)
Now for some bird shots in the grey sky.
Up first is a Southern Double-collared sunbird.
Then a dove on a street lamp.
A sunbird at the top in a discussion with the dove below it.
This below is a Malachite sunbird.
The shape of the beak told me that this was a raven.
And finally, a bit of a rainbow.
So, the grey color was out to show me that it can also be beautiful if other colors appear in it. But secretly I knew that as even our little car is a shade of silver grey. So many see grey days as dreary, but if it wasn't for the color grey, we would never have rain :)
People also prefer to say that they are in a black mood instead of a grey mood. In fact, I have never heard anyone saying that they are in a grey mood, and so I hope that you will also see that grey is a neutral color that can pair easily with the primary colors. No doubt you can see that I am a novice when it comes to colors, but in my defense, I can tell you that I was failed in the army for pilot duties due to slight color blindness. The reason why I get so many bird and other photos, is that I have a keen eye for movement, and if anything moves then I snap it.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
