Political action?

Today, the CEO of Polymarket, Shayne Coplan got a visit from the FBI in his apartment in Manhattan. Polymarket is a “gambling” site where you can bet on outcomes of future events. The site was already a month before the elections on the right track when it came to the outcome of the elections. Where 3.5 billion dollars was bet on!

Polymarket, at least “betting” on the site is forbidden for US citizens but that is easily surpassed by using a VPN. And many Americans do it that way. It is believed that that is the reason of the visit of the FBI. Because they find that Coplan doesn’t do enough to keep US citizens from the platform.

They took his cellphone with them but he wasn’t arrested.

According to Coplan the action is politically motivated, because his platform doesn’t fit the democratic narrative, and the democrats think that his platform influenced the outcome of the elections…

Sad that a person that took a lot of risks to build out something from scratch that is completely refreshing gets punished.
