Mbappé demands another 55 million EUR from PSG

The free transfer of the century, you could call it. Kylian Mbappé didn’t want to extend his contract at Paris Saint-Germain that paid over 220 million EUR for him 5 years ago. PSG was not happy with that, and refused to pay his wages as of April. Which of course breaks UEFA financial rules.

Mbappé doesn’t want to leave it there and demands his money. Roughly 55 million EUR for his wages and an… ethical bonus. Whatever that may mean.
He dumped his case at the French League, LFP and UEFA. Which brings PSG in trouble, possibly big trouble.

Exclusion from transfer market and Champions League

If PSG doesn’t pay very soon they could be excluded from the transfer market. And more importantly from the UEFA Champions League, which is the jackpot for Europe’s top clubs.

Mbappé could leave a big mark on PSG, but not one they would like. It seems like PSG is pushed in a corner and has very little options, except to pay Mbappé. Otherwise it could cost them triple or quadruple the amount of what the new Real Madrid star is demanding.

Football is not a sport anymore, just big business!
