Hello Needleworkers

Greetings to you all my fellow #Needleworkmonday community colleagues, how are you all doing today, it's another new day and new Month, i pray that this month shall favor you all and what so ever you ley your hands on shall prosper, may the lord grant our heart desires in Jesus name amen, this new months i will love to share with you all on how i cut and sew this beautiful grown dress for my baby girl.

I was thinking on outfit to put on my baby girl on Sunday, and i was not okay with the old outfit because i didn't want to repeat the new one i sewn for her, i wanted a new Sunday outfit to wear by baby last Sunday which was the first Sunday of the Month and we had a child dedication too, i was so worried about it, and with the fact that i didn't have any chance and it was on Saturday which i did a lot of laundry, well i had some few have to finished up everything before the choir rehearsal time, then i fixed it on my schedule and work towards it, i decided to make something simple and nice for her, then i searching if i would find a remaining fabric to use, as I'm searching luckily i found one then i start the cutting process quickly.

I firstly folded the fabric by two, i measured her full length, then i also measured out her shoulder and i devided her body measurements by four and i took down her hamhole length and her neck length and width, then i cut it out.

After cutting the front out, i fold to the remaining fabric again by two, i measured out 1.5 inches for zipper allowance before i placed the front on it and cut it out.

After finishing with the cutting process i went ahead and brought out my remaining velvet matarial and cut out the length by 5.5 inches then the width i place the front i have already cutting out and placed on the velvet then i cut it out, after that i went to the sewing machine and placed the velvet on the wrong side of the front fabric and sew only the neck part down, then i strimed out the neck carefully and turned it out to the normal side and bend the velvet hem on the fabric round and sew it down.

Here is what the front looks like

After finishing with the front, i cut out the velvet again in 1.5 inches then i used it and turned the back neck line inside then i put the zip on it.

I now joined the front and back shoulder together.

After that i firstly sew a loop on the front side of the dress before i joined the body front and back together through her body measurements shape, then i cut out the fabric in 3.5 width and sew a pleatings on the hem of the dress, after that i used the velvet to cut out the sleeves, afer cutting out the sleeves i pleat the shoulder and the hem of the sleeves then i fixed it on the dress to complete the work.
