What a great feeling to dine out with friends at one of the finest restaurants in town not to mention the cozy ambiance at Rey’s Warehouse in Damilag, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon, Philippines.
It may not be my first time to be here but dining out with them hits differently. Perhaps it was an unplanned travel after we were having the busiest day in our workplace. And yes, I am with my most cherished team.
It was the first visit of my friends in this amazing restaurant. We usually call ourselves the Powerpuff Girls with Mojojo, with me being Blossom and the leader of the group. One thing they noticed was the name of the place known as Rey's Warehouse.
They were wondering why the restaurant was called a warehouse. A little backstory of the restaurant, this is owned by a retired flight attendant and the honorable vice mayor of Manolo Fortich, inspired by her wife’s preferences and tastes as she was traveling around the world back then.
Rey’s warehouse is not only a restaurant but has a lot of interesting things to enjoy such as the presence of a bar, sports bar, recreation area, and boutique, along with the rustic atmosphere.
While waiting for our orders, we enjoyed exploring the vast area. When I found the billiards, I tried a game. My friends were playing basketball too. And my other friends were busy window shopping at the boutique.
Meanwhile, our orders arrived. We ordered the same foods which were the Smoked Pork Ribs, Frappes, Fries, and a rice cake dessert. Even without tasting the foodies, they seemed so delectable. The texture was so good and the utensils were so luxurious.
The smoked pork ribs were truly one of my favorite dishes. Aside from being tasty, it was so affordable. I enjoyed eating the savory and delicious slices along with the side dishes.
Aside from the smoked ribs, we ordered fries too. It was a home-made fries and it was so tasty as well while feeling the crispiness of every bite.
I always love eating fries even during dinner time. Here in my country, fries are known as snacks but whenever there a fries on the menu, I always order them no matter how full I am since it is so enticing.
When my friends first tasted the smoked pork ribs, they were truly surprised of being so affordable yet so delectable. I was never wrong in bringing them to this restaurant for the very first time. It seemed that they were so happy.
All of them had a positive review of the restaurant. From the cozy ambiance to the delectable dishes that we ordered. And we never missed eating the tastiest Palitaw or a rice cake in the Philippines with sugar and desiccated coconut toppings.
The Palitaw is a native Filipino dish that could capture anyone’s taste. I so love the presence of sesame seeds, sugar coatings, and desiccated coconuts, making it too perfect for dessert.
At first, we ordered only one plate, but since it was so tasty, we added even three more plates. Everybody was so happy since the cravings were satisfied.
Moreover, it was one of the unique restaurants because of the presence of a vintage car near the table that added to the restaurant's aesthetic vibes. Perhaps it was a wonderful day and we had a sumptuous early dinner at Rey’s Warehouse.
