Trust me, you have not been clickbait. I really achieved hundreds of millions of Bounty in NFS Most Wanted. But there is a catch! I am using two mods, one increasing the heat level to 10 so only Cross spawns in this heat and the other mod is the 'Unlimiter' which increases the number of cops in the chase. I am using about 75 cops actively spawning continuously (the bigger numbers gave me some performance issues and random crashes).

This was the most epic police chase that I did in this old game. I have been enjoying this game since 2012 and completed the campaign a lot of times. But I never had this much fun with a single pursuit. Both of the mods that I mentioned made it fun without taking the difficulty away. Trying to outrun these Cops is almost impossible, you can see from the video that they will keep on spawning they won't wait for the backup timer and just keep spawning new cars.
Most of the bounty I got was from the police cars ramming into each other and destroying themselves. When I heard a cop on the radio saying, 'We need more backup', I laughed a lot. Bro, you have the entire States police after me and you still need more backup...lol

A lot of Crazy things happened during this chase. It is a good sight to see hundreds of cops jumping on the Golf Course uncontrollably and looking like toys.
This run was 23 minutes long and gave me a total of 166,600,000 Bounty. The most I got in the vanilla game was less than 10 million. This was really crazy. Almost all of them were from the cars that got destroyed. A total of 586 Cross Cars, the best cop cars in the whole game. Most of them died just because it was overcrowded and they smashed into each other.
It didn't matter how fast you were driving or how sharp turns you took there would be more cars spawning if some were left behind. So, you are always surrounded by a lot of cop cars. So, what's the best strategy? Well, keep moving!
I just kept moving and moving, taking sharp turns, narrowly escaping and staying away from narrow roads or god forbid taking a U-turn. However, I have not followed the above all the time. I did go into narrow lanes where I narrowly escaped a few times, I did stop at a place (in the bus depot, police can't get you there for some reason) and I did take a few risky sharp turns too.
There was a strange bug where no more police cars spawned inside the tunnel (around the 15-minute mark in the video). I could have filled the cooldown meter inside the tunnel easily. But I saw my bounty was at 81 million and I wanted to achieve at least 100 million, so I went back and got the 100 million. When I came back into the tunnel that strange bug never occurred and it felt like the only way I could cool down in this entire chase.
There were a lot of close encounters where I almost got caught but the police cars would just back up or give me slight space to move but, in the end, I was trapped between the rubble of a gas station and couldn't move. I was really stuck and that was the end of my session. I wanted to touch the 200 million bounty mark. But maybe some other day.
