Morning in Sundarpatan, Nepal | theHunter: Call of the Wild

in #hive-1856769 days ago

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

The latest DLC launched in theHunter: Call of the Wild was Sundarpatan Hunting Reserve, which is based on the beautiful biomes of Nepal. It is a great map for exploration as you will see amazing landscapes, you can trek through the mountains, explore the local wildlife and hunt in peace.

I will show you its beauty with my shots. I don't own this DLC so I had to join a multiplayer session to play in this one. I found a map which had an early morning time. It was still foggy and gloomy because the sun was still under the horizon.

You can see the variety of trees in this jungle, it is not just a copy-paste of one or two trees all over the place. It has a healthy mix of shrubs and trees and looks like a thick Himalayan forest. I have been to such forests in northern parts of India and recognize many trees.

You will see some big outposts in the middle of the forests. You can enter some of the houses and see the interiors too.

Even though the developers didn't put the same amount of love into the interior of these buildings as they did with the outside. But it is better than some of the other outposts.

As most of the population in Nepal is Hindu, you will find a lot of Hindu motifs and cultural things in the houses. I like the attention to detail here.

It was like entering a familiar house. Did I show you how beautiful some of the other outposts in here?

Look at this one, it is probably one of my favourite outposts in the game. Some mustard fields on both sides of the lanes with a few houses in the middle of those fields.

I found some familiar writings here. Interestingly, the Nepali language uses the same script (Devnagri) as Hindi. So, boards like these feel even more close to home. They use the Devanagari Digits
for numbers too. Again, the attention to detail is unmatched.

I love the mornings here. If you go out on the open meadows you see a lot of interesting flowers and mountains. They remind me of my treks in such hilly places in the Himalayas. This game captures the beauty of those places quite well. It's truly amazing how far the gaming industry has come, especially concerning realistic graphics and landscapes.

There are a few lakes in the upper parts of the region. Although, I didn't find many animals at this time of the day. I am guessing there will be more in the afternoon. But just look at the thick forest next to the lake.

The weather here is quite dynamic too. You can experience the dynamic clouds which change every 5-10 minutes. When it was early in the morning it was a bit foggy with a lot of clouds but after some time the clouds went away and the sky became clearer. Which is the case in these places. Usually, the afternoons are sunny and by the evening and night it becomes cloudy and rains which gets clear in the morning and the cycle repeats. This isn't the case every time ofc.

And talking about the hunting in this reserve. It is kind of difficult to spot animals, especially in the lower forested regions of the reserve. Also, the animal population wasn't good, and I was getting very unlucky.

Me and Sheru were determined to hunt some animals and wanted to encounter the Bengal Tiger but I guess they are quite rare to find. Maybe the next time when we are here we will get a beautiful Tiger. I am thinking of buying this DLC map in the next Steam sale. I hope there will be a good discount on this map too.

That's it from this time. Let me know which one was your favourite shot. I loved the forest one, it looks mystical with the fog and a bit of darkness.

Thanks for reading...

Until next shot...

LEO Power Up Day - November 15, 2024

Man, how many countries you have in this game? I liked this part of this game the most where you can roam around different countries.

I think now it has 15 reserves/map and 3 of them are from the US alone. All the others are in different countries. I wish they had an Indian one but the developers say, since Hunting is banned in India, they may not be coming up with a DLC map on India so they don't promote hunting where it is not allowed.

The last two maps, Austalia and Nepal were really good. But you have to buy these DLC maps (if you want to play in singleplayer, which is much more calming and you have more control over time and placing camps etc), that's how they make their money and they keep making more maps. That's how they been running successfully since 2017.

the developers say, since Hunting is banned in India, they may not be coming up with a DLC map on India so they don't promote hunting where it is not allowed.

That's so cool. It says how active the developers are and how careful they're.

Man it is amazing to see the amount of maps that has this game and how beautiful they are each and every one of the landscapes that we have shared, if you do an excellent job brother, thanks for sharing
