We Found a Beautiful Place to Settle in Minecraft!

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

I never realised that a blocky game can look beautiful but there are mods for everything I guess? I knew that Minecraft is probably one of the most popular games that have been modded by thousands of modders in the community. Sometimes it is changing how the game operates or adding new functionality or better UI and at other times it could be just increasing the visual appeal of this not-so-great-looking blocky game. Don't get me wrong, it has its appeal but a lot of players who have never played it would instantly judge it by its looks. I was one of them so I know it. But that is in the past and today I want to show you how a few resources and texture packs can change the game's look and make it super pretty.

Most of the work done in this server in our base is credited to Beril. She loves building stuff and I love breaking it so I guess we make a good team? xD.

Just like the old server we had, she loves to fill the homes with all kinds of animals. I need to get a horse for myself as well. For now, we just have one. Look at how it looks at our wheat field. Are we teasing it?

I love the cherry blossoms they drop from our tree house and this resource pack makes it look so beautiful.

Beril does things more aesthetically pleasing and I do them the most efficient way without caring for any aesthetics. We balance each other out in many projects but some projects like this sugarcane farm that I made just to extract as much sugarcane as possible and sell it to the villagers to get rich, had close to no visual appearance. It doesn't even have a perimeter.

This farm is in complete contrast to the beautiful benches she created on the sides of the lake. Their beauty was even enhanced by this texture pack.

The only thing we need to change is figuring out how to remove the ugly torches and still light up our area so it looks clean and bright at the same time.

The place where we set up, we had to find it. This took us about an hour of exploring and finally settling here just because it was such a beautiful place. We have mountains on the north with little Cherry grove on top of it.

Just in front of it is the beautiful sunflower field and we both love both of these in Minecraft so it was a perfect fit for us.

Apart from the flowers, it was big plains enough for our future projects, and a big lake in the middle increases the beauty of this place even more.

Along with the bigger lake, there are other water bodies. Towards the western side, we have a smaller pond that will serve as a good place for turtle breeding or a pond to collect some rare fish.

A bit further down west is a river which connects to some small rivers in these biomes. It connects to a nearby village where we abducted two villagers (more on that later).

This village was a big one, they grew big enough to have a religion of their xD. They even had a church. We stole two villagers from here and put them in our basement to breed as much as they could. A little cruel I know, but don't worry they have enough food and we are not killing them (at least not for now :) )

But last I checked this village, I didn't find anyone there. Maybe all of them went searching for their kidnapped friends or they were all hiding from me? Whatever, we don't care much about it now. We already stole all the valuable things they had lol.

We even stole the broken nether portal from this place. Those obsidians were used to create our nether portal. Want to have a look?

This portal room is under our tree house, just above the room where all the villagers are trapped for eternity. This portal leads us to the Underworld, a much more harsher place than this Overworld.

We secured that side of the portal as well but still, these Pig people keep spawning and once in a while can come through our portal. But these are passive until you hit them.

The best part was, we found a Nether Fortress just outside this portal room so it was a lucky nether spawn for us.

Let's go back to the Overworld to show you my favourite room. It is the room in our treehouse with all the mob heads we collected. This has become our trophy room with all the heads dispaced here. The best part is you can wear them as a helmet. We have slaughtered a lot of entities in this game to collect all these. But I have no regrets or remorse. It was worth it!

I will be sharing more stuff once we take our revenge on some Wither Skeletons in the Nether and kill the Ender Dragon. Hopefully, it won't take us too long.

Thanks for reading.

Until next shot...

Just for a second, I am thinking, maybe we should do a villager statue on that village in the memory of lost villagers. Or maybe tomorrow, in the morning I should do it 😁😁😁

I'm not so much a fan of using visual mods in Minecraft, I think it takes away from the essence. Anyway, I really like how the Nether looks like.

I see you point and it makes sense. These shaders can break the visual consistency of this game. Having a super realistic looking water in a non-realistic blocky game can be off-putting to many. And certainly the developers wanted everything to be blocky and to be honest they did a great job with it. The clouds, animals, trees everything has a consistent visual appearance.

My youngest son plays Minecraft, too. 😎
