Often times, I've heard people talk about how scared they are of getting their heart broken, and how they're waiting for that perfect someone to come along, hoping that that person wouldn't hurt them.
I actually do have a friend right now who has vowed never to allow himself to be so vulnerable to the extent where he ends up falling in love with someone because he's scared of a heart break.
Well if there's one thing I've come to understand, it is that heartbreak is a huge part of love and relationship. And unfortunately, the only way to avoid it is to avoid falling in love totally.
It's almost like a man who hates to pay bank charges, the only option for you would be to store your cash at home and not have a bank account. Yes that might help prevent those charges because you can't get charged if you don't have a bank account, but does that really help?
Because now you have to carry cash with you everywhere you go, also your money isn't protected and you literally could lose it all in one night if you get robbed.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that yes we know it sucks to get hurt, but sometimes, we just have to be willing to make that sacrifice, especially if it's for something as important as love.
Sadly, one would think that having this information before going into a relationship would make the pain a lot easier to handle when the time does come, but that is never the case. The only time you won't feel hurt is when you're not in love with that person, but as long as you do love that person and they do something to hurt you, it's going to hurt like hell.
I'm only putting this out here more like me helping you to put on a bulletproof vest...yes, it's going to save your life when you do get shot, it's also going to hurt like crazy. It just won't kill you.
Also, funny thing about my friend that I talked about in the second paragraph is that his fear has gotten so deep that he's now the one who plays with people's heart and never takes them serious... He doesn't realise it yet but he has ended up becoming the very same thing that he was afraid of.
