Self-awareness I would say is the foundation of our emotional intelligence, which allows us to identify and regulate our emotions, and recognize how it can impact our decisions, actions, motivations, values, behaviors and relationships. Self awareness is an essential key that aids to eliminate some unnecessary heartbreaks building a footstool to a fulfilling purpose and achieving our desired success.
Self awareness paves way for self-acceptance, self-compassion, self-forgiveness and boosts our level of confidence, supporting growth and development and aids in reducing stress and anxiety.
Self awareness is an important aspect of my life that has kept me strong this far amidst storms of difficulties, It has helped me foster trust, discipline, honesty and respect among others, as I'm able to acknowledge my mistakes, aim at correcting them, seek feedback, and appreciate diversity. Moreover, self-awareness allows me to empathize and communicate with others effectively, and to influence them positively and authentically.
It likewise helps me to see things from the perspective of others, practice self-control, work creatively and productively, applaud myself for successes or achievement, a sense of fulfillment and pride in myself, as well as general self-esteem.
Having a proper understanding of our strengths and challenges solely depends on our level of self awareness because with that it helps us to grow stronger. It's also a factor that enables me to receive feedback constructively, understand how others perceive me, and respond to challenges with a growth mindset, building better relationships that gives a greater ability to regulate and manage my emotions, helps in decreasing stress, making me live contented and happier.
Although different people have different levels of self awareness, some might rate themselves low while others highly, i believe that our level of self awareness totally depends on identifying our goals and values, analysing our thoughts, recognizing what triggers our emotions, setting boundaries and also Prioritizing self care, though there are more to what's stated. But they are paramount.
Self-awareness is a continuous process, that requires honesty and openness, it enhances our relationships with others, improves decision-making, leading to personal growth and fulfillment, though it's achieved through our practice of mindfulness as well as self-reflection.
Self awareness has helped me in so many ways that is how I've been able to understand myself better which has aimed at fostering growth, contentment and happiness.
