Yay. It's a new week. I woke up this morning feeling so excited and couldn't wait to rock one of the beautiful gowns I made. It was two months ago that I bought some crepe materials as I was dying to have newer clothes, specifically gowns and button-down shirts. Pinterest has always got me covered when I need to make new hairstyles or new styles for my clothes, so, I pick from there, download and send to my fashion designer or hairstylist and they never disappoint me.
I bought 4 crepe materials with different sweet colours and gave them to my fashion designer whom I have trusted her work to do the best. I told her my styles too and I couldn't stop staring at those beautiful materials when she finally brought them to my house two weeks ago. I decided I would wear them when school resumes for the last part of my service year.
When I woke up this morning, I decided to wear one of them to church and I couldn't stop receiving compliments from members and friends. I also posted my pictures on my WhatsApp status, made into collages and short videos. I love the outfit on me. Can't wait to wear the other 3 while rocking my beautiful self on them.
Truthfully, last week was amazing. I was overjoyed to the extent that my stomach almost burst up, hahaha 😆 God has been faithful to me. However, I was called from home when my dad was rushed to the hospital where we paid over 80,000 naira for his bills. He was diagnosed with bacterial infection, was treated and discharged the following day.
I was happy that he felt better after then as I was always calling to check up on him. Apart from that, I enjoyed the whole of last week with my friends online. It feels good not to go to work but to be at home because of the holiday. This made me active on Hive and Discord too.
Something has been cooking for some days now, only @nkemakonam89 knows about it because she is my gist partner and amazing friend whom I have loved to share things with her and she has never been tired when I show up in her DM. So, please, don't share with them if they ask you what is the thing all about 🤣
I'm taking my time, so hopefully, things happen the way I want them. Then, I would share with you guys what the thing is 🙂
So, this week promises to be amazing again. As usual, one of my plans is to build my wallet on Hive and stay more active in curating and interacting with authors. Gist more on Discord and also attend to offline tasks, i.e tutorials for these kids that I have taken it upon myself to teach and not expect to receive anything, if it comes, fine, and if not, I see it as me helping people in my capacity.
The holiday continues which means no going out. I went to the market last weekend, bought foodstuffs and stocked my kitchen with enough to feed me till the next month and some weeks if possible, except for perishable goods like pepper, bread etc, which I would be buying across the street. With this, I would be indoors, eating, engaging online, sleeping and adding more weight but would be careful with that.
I want to make sure to remain positive this week. Although one may not know what could happen next, ruining your good thoughts and positive mindset, no matter what, I should remember that there are things bound to happen that I wouldn't be able to control, while those things happen, I should not be hard on myself believing that all will be well. It's good to remain positive but sometimes, being positive would not work but your faith which means even amidst troubles, you trust God for the best.
I have 2 major courses I have signed up for on Alison's website which I would take and finish. This holiday has allowed me time to take some courses in my line of career and also for my personal development and it has been amazing for me.
So, I am hoping for the best this week and the next. Not to be too hard on myself, to be grateful for the little things in life and appreciate everyone around me and never to be too busy for those who need my time even if for some minutes. Finally, having time for my family which is very important and taking things slowly when it comes to improvement.
