We all know that, excess of anything is of no use. Instead anything extra beyond a limit is alwsys harmful and does not give any positive result. I have seen people overeating and then get lazy. Putting excess air on your vehicle tyre will put us in risk of deflation and many things happen in real life. But people unable to understand the basics, and instead always try to get more. More money, more food, and everything mlre in life.
Our ancient sanskrit scolars have already identified the bad effects of anything excess and shared some mindful Sanskrit transcript. Here is what it says :
वृथा वृष्टिः समुद्रेषु वृथा तृप्तेषु भोजनम् |
वृथा दाने धनाधनाढ्येषु वृथा दीपो दिवाSपि च ||
Vruthaa vrishtih samudreshu vruthaa trupteshu bhojanam.
vruthaa daane dhanaaDhyeshu vrruthaa deepo divaapi cha.
Vruthaa = futile, useless, producing no result.
Vrushti = rain.
Samudra = ocean.
Samudreshu = over the ocean.
Trupta = satiated.
Trupteshu = to a satiated person (whose stomach is already full).
Bhojanam = food.
Daane = donation, giving away as charity.
DhanaaDhyeshu = ro a rich person.
Deepo = a lamp.
Divaapi = divaa + Api.
Divaa = day time.
Api = even (to express emphasis), also.
Cha = and.
The above line states that "Rain over the ocean is futile, so also providing food to a satiated person (whose stomach is already full) is useless. Giving donation to a rich person and even lighting a lamp during day time is also of no use."
If we look around, ocean has already full of water and more rainwater does not impact, like wise a giving food to a satiated person is of no use. Similarly, a rich person does not require any donation and so does lighting a lamp in day time when Sunlights is enough. We better remain content and make use of time and resources mindfully.
