Falls are inevitable - and protective equipment (“accessories”) on the knees and elbows is not just a handy - it’s a must! Otherwise your knees will look like this guy's (at best!...)
There is also this facility that benefit more to scooter-riders than cyclists. I did not figured out how to squeeze the best sort of visuals from it (yet).
Probably, this one would benefit from monochrome conversion too.

Two days ago, late in the evening, I suddenly got a feeling that I'd love to make a milkshake - I already had two kilograms of bananas sitting in my fridge, but had to get other ingredients. So, I got on my bike and went out - but didn’t forget the camera at home, put it in my backpack... just in case. In fact, I planned to cycle to the most distant store through the park, and considered to make a stop next to the cycling hills section to check whats up.
Two days ago, in the evening, I suddenly found that I'd love to make a milkshake - I had two kilograms of bananas lying in my fridge, but I had to quickly go to the store for the rest of the ingredients (milk and a big pack of simple vanilla ice-cream). I got on my bike and went out - but didn’t forget the camera at home, ofc I put it in my backpack... just in case. 😎 In fact, I planned my route in such a way as to drive through the park - to the distant store - and I knew in advance that I would make a stop next to the bike area and check what is up.
I grabbed some attention with my big camera and while I was taking pictures, two people dared to approach me and asked where they could look at the photos... we shared our emails, and one of them was so interested in pics "made by the professional” (judging by the size of the lens) photographer, that he even made a few more circles for the camera and deliberately posed for me. This is exactly him you see below. And by the way, he also took a photo of me - with his smartphone - and you can once again compare how different are the results these different classes of devices producing.
Два дня назад ближе к вечеру мне внезапно захотелось молочного коктейля - у меня дома завалялось два килограмма бананов, но за остальными ингредиентами пришлось быстро поехать в магазин. Я сел на велосипед и поехал - но камеру не забыл дома, а положил в рюкзак... на всякий случай. На самом деле я проложил свой маршрут таким образом, чтобы проехать через парк - к дальнему магазину - и я заранее знал, что сделаю остановку рядом с вело-площадкой и проверю какдила.
На площадке было не слишком людно, но и не пустынно - в самый раз, чтобы покататься по горкам без помех и толкотни локтями. Но я здесь был не за тренировкой, а за фотографиями :) Дневной свет уже начинал угасать, и на хвосте закатного солнца я сделал две-три дюжины несколько приятных фотографий. Конечно, две трети ушло в корзину, но среди оставшегося я нашел и приятные общие виды, и замечательные портреты / эмоции написанные на лицах велосипедистов. (И еще запечатлел парочку красивых теней - они пойдут отправятся в сообщество #shadowhunters).
Своей большой камерой я привлекал внимание и пока фотографировал, двое человек не преминули подойти спросить - а где можно будет посмотреть фотки? ...мы обменялись имейлами, и один из них так был заинтересован в карточках себя, сделанных "профессиональным" (судя по размеру объектива) фотографом, что даже сделал еще несколько кругов нарочно под камеру, позируя и натягивая на лицо победное выражение лица. Как раз его вы и видите ниже. У него был отличный горный велосипед, как и у меня - одетый в резину Швальбе. И кстати, он меня тоже сфотографировал (на свой смартфон) - и вы можете в очередной раз сравнить, насколько разные результаты производят эти разного класса девайсы. К сожалению, он прислал маленький файл и картинка не кликабельна.
The hills area itself is quite compact.
It takes a very little specially upgraded section of the park. The rest of the park of course has a lot of simple long paved paths, both straight and curved.
This was the last photo I took. Look at his facial impression, isnt it charming? I really had a feeling that I nailed it - and watching the results at home at the display, it turned out exactly like that.
