I didn't read the weather forecast today - my daughter was on school holidays, and after lunch she wanted to go for a walk in the park together and feed the birds. She took a bag of wheat grains, and I, of course, took my 70-200mm telephoto, for a different kind of hunting. The mission was successfully accomplished... when the sky suddenly turned gray, and I overheard two women talking: "Now is the time to get out of here as soon as possible, and in an hour we can come back." I asked again - and found out that the weather forecast now predicts heavy rain for about an hour.
Literally before my eyes, this forecast began to come true. We turned towards home, and my daughter returned home, and I lingered at the entrance to the metro - I bought myself a cup of coffee, but most importantly, I thought that it would be a pity to return home without taking pictures of the rainy streets. Rain generates a lot of cool subjects for a street photographer - as demonstrated by a recent post by @x-rain, who took a walk in the rain along the streets of Saigon... and I've known this for a long time myself. Anyway, I slightly covered my camera under my jacket and hid in ambush opposite the entrance to the metro. Almost all the photos below were taken without leaving one spot.
And by the way, pay attention to my cup of coffee! What depth of symbolism can be found in the picture, if you remember in time that St. Petersburg is famous for its rainy weather. (By the way, I'm gradually accumulating photos for a separate post on this topic).
Someone was walking in the park, collecting beautiful maple leaves and started to weave a wreath - but when it started to rain, might abandoned his work and ran away, leaving the wreath for the next comers. I came ... just to take a photo

This one turned blurry due to the motion, but I still liked and did not want to delete it. The scooter girl arrived to the subway station, parked the scooter and momentarily disappeared in the tube doorway. Smart rider on the storm! (modern edition).
Everyone is hiding from the rain - those who prudently borrowed an umbrella are hiding under their umbrella, those who did not check the weather forecast are pulling their clothes over their heads, or trying to run quickly past the raindrops :)
Some pedestrians made no attempt to take shelter from the rain. (Maybe this girl was waiting for her boyfriend at this spot - and just couldn't leave.) Well, a cup of hot coffee makes you feel a little more at ease and definitely helps you wait!
And the last photo to round up my walk - the only capture I made after the sky cleared and rain have stopped; an eye contact happened.

Thanks for walking with me, see you next time.
