My review of Hyper Rail Blaster: Play2Earn Arcade game
Hyper Rail Blaster is the latest entry in the Play2earn game after the proposal of rewarding colony tokens to the players is passed with the whooping majority. It is truly an arcade game built with the purpose that player can have short, fun and engaging sessions while playing the game. Game is not difficult to learn so it can attract more audience for playing the game. Overall it is a web3 game that will allow players to own assets and earn some token while playing the game. At present the you can play MVP of the game here
What makes it unique?
Though there is no dearth of games in Hive having "Play2Earn" mechanics but I do not think any of the existing games created in Hive are created as arcade games. They all require to hold some assets in the game to have some meaningful interaction and earnings from the game. So in current state it looks as the simplest, easiest and asset-light game available in Hive. We know not all users in Hive interacts with the Hive games or active in daily playing of the Hive games and the reason of not playing the games is that playing game is time consuming and they need to invest good amount of money for playing it. Hyper Rail Blaster solve both the problem and I expect that it can get good reception as it do not require much time to play, no heavy investments, easy to learn and yet player will earn.
My experience.
I played the game and it's is so self-explanatory that I do not require any manual to start in this game so I can give 10/10 from the perspective of "easy to learn". Since in this game you have to shoot the bouncing ball from your cannon and the cannon having large size as compared to it's shooting nozzle, you will need to keep moving your cannon to left and right while shooting simultaneously, so I can say it "engage" your 100% attention.
Also I find that I got the urge to play again to beat my previous score so I can say it has fun or more importantly it "provokes" self-competition. So I can say game is currently able to meet its objective.
My 2 cents.
I usually have to travel a lot from my home to my workplace and I see lot of people playing these arcade games on their mobiles. In my view, releasing a mobile application for this game will be highly helpful in targeting more audiences.
Since the developer claimed the current game as a "Minimum viable Product" so I expect the final product to have more features that might make it more interesting and more visually appealing.
