God is great and powerful

My son, Ernesto, was transferred from his job in Cumaná to a town called Santa Fe. It is located in front of the sea, where many boats circulate, since most of its inhabitants are engaged in small-scale fishing. In addition, there is a river in the town that supplies it with the vital liquid that emanates from a spring called El pozo. There is a sector of the population that harvests cambur plants throughout the year and in December they cut their leaves, pass them through the candle, tie them in bunches and then go to the market to sell them so that people can use them as wrappers for their hallacas.

In this context, Ernesto meets a young woman called Elizabeth, with , eyes as black as jet, straight hair as black as the immense coal mines, a brunette, a cinnamon complexion and a slender figure of good height. As soon as they looked at each other, alchemy was born between them and they fell in love. She had previously had a failed love affair, from which she had a child. Ernesto also had two failed love affairs, from each of which a child was born. But he fell madly in love with Isabel and asked her to be his wife. Shortly afterwards they were married in a civil ceremony and the following week in a church. They bought a house and the three of them lived there. Shortly after this union they had a son, named Ephraim. Later she wanted to have a daughter. In 2019. Ephraim was 3 years old. At that time there was in that village a pandemic caused by the mosquito that transmits malaria. My son Ernesto was affected by this disease only once. On the other hand, my son's wife Elizabeth was affected four times. She would recover and a few months later she would relapse with the disease.

A few months after my daughter-in-law recovered from this disease. She started with a problem in her stomach. She said to her husband: ""My love, I feel some pain in my stomach"". He replied: : ""Tomorrow morning we are going to the hospital in Cumaná to see the gynaecologist"".

he next day they arrived at the hospital and the gynaecologist asked her: ‘¿How long has it been since you have seen your period? She replied: "Three months." The doctor prescribed a blood test to see if she was pregnant. From there they went to a private laboratory and did the blood test. The laboratory technician told her

:"’ Come tomorrow to get the result’""

That same day they returned home to Santa Fe. At night, Elizabeth could not sleep. She thought she might have something wrong with her stomach and began to pray. "God, my God, you who can do all things, make it so that there is nothing wrong with my stomach. She stayed like that for a long time, until exhaustion overcame her and she fell asleep in the early morning.

As soon as the sun's rays penetrated through her bedroom window, she got up, prepared breakfast for everyone and then sent the children off to school.

Then she got ready and with her husband they left for the laboratory, later they went to the hospital to take the results to the gynaecologist. As soon as the doctor reviewed the medical tests, he diagnosed: ‘She is not pregnant, maybe she has a malignant tumour, she needs to be operated on, come next week""’. ‘At that moment her face became as pale as the pallor of the magnolia, her hands trembled like the leaves of plants in times of hurricanes. Ernesto stroked her hair to reassure her. They left the consulting room in defeat.

When they returned home, Elizabeth was crying inconsolably. Ernesto hugged her and told her: ‘Calm down, my love, I have faith in God, that there is nothing wrong with you’. But nothing cheered her up, she only had the consolation of crying. And to pray to God that she would not have this tumour.

The following week, Elizabeth packed her suitcase. When they were traveling they took a car. The car broke down, so they didn't make it to the operating room in time. Furthermore, the gynecologist did not arrive, because he woke up sick. This led to Elizabeth being examined by another gynecologist. The doctor examined her and did an abdominal ultrasound, and the medical result showed that there was no tumor. What I had was a three-month-old girl.

Upon leaving the hospital, Elizabeth raised her arms to heaven, prayed and thanked God for being so great and powerful that he allowed her not to make it to the operating room in time. Six months later, Elizabeth gave birth to a daughter named Makharíanny Abigaíl. She came to add happiness to your home, since she is a very beautiful and affectionate girl.

Sort:

She was truly lucky to have these problems, otherwise the incompetent gynecologist would have threatened the life of the baby that was developing in her womb.

Unbelievable! And the worst thing is that there are many of these stories: How many people receive a wrong diagnosis and are even operated on. Thank God she was only pregnant and the first doctor got sick. Greetings

A startling, lovely story. So fortunate for you and your grandchild. We do love the story but discourage our writers from making overt references to religion in their pieces. This is such a diverse community, with people from different backgrounds and beliefs. We try to stay away from religion, no matter our personal inclination.

Once again, we thank you for sharing this most memorable, and wondrous, experience,
