To be caged or not to be caged. That is sometimes the question. The outside world can be so close and yet so far away. This depends on the situation you are in, of course.
Nowadays, with the rise of the internet, and all other technology for that matter, it gets easier and easier to stay inside. You don't have to go outside for work, for food, for exercise. Not even for socializing. These are the thoughts that form in my mind when I look at this picture, taken from the interior of an old castle building in Prague.
Seeing the nature on the other side, knowing it is close by, you realize that it is still out of reach. Until you find the door or entrance or exit and go outside. For some, this is a matter of choice, rather than force. For others, who are not so lucky, it is reality.
This picture was taken with a OnePlus 8T and was not manually edited by me. What the camera software on smartphones does nowadays is another point. The location is the Golden Lane on the castle grounds of Prague Castle in Prague, Czech Republic.
