🦉 The Siberian rubythroat (Calliope calliope)
- Calliope (ancient Greek mythology) Calliope - the eldest of the muses, the goddess of chants, the muse of epic poetry
The encyclopedias say that these funny birds arrive as soon as the forest begins to become covered with leaves. But I have never seen these nightingales in my city at this time. In principle, I rarely see these birds, and for some reason only in July. Moreover, I don’t even need to look for them purposefully, beautiful smart males themselves occupy a separate branch and sing a song in front of everyone.
Their songs are something. They consist of fragments of the voices of other birds with various trills and whistles, and I think I once heard the sounds of a car alarm and a bell.
The bird lives in the lower tier of the forest, in tall grass and bushes.
