The red squirrel or Eurasian red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris)
The life of wild squirrels that live in forests far from cities and villages is very different from those that live in city parks.
No one brings them food, no one treats them with expensive kerosene nuts. They are forced to get their own food.
In the wild, squirrels feed on nuts, seeds of plants and grasses, insects, bird eggs, mushrooms and berries.
With the arrival of cold weather, squirrels begin to arrange their home, insulating it with moss. In winter, they will sleep in it, tightly pressed against each other so as not to freeze.
