People do things that keeps them in constant debt but always look for a way to justify that. People can take a huge loan just to please others and then go in debt and start regretting and probably start begging other people for financial help. It’s so annoying when you are living your life trying to be financially responsible, then someone that is extremely financially irresponsible starts begging you for money, indirectly trying to pay the consequences for their irresponsible actions.

A man earns $20k yearly as his salary but decided to throw a lavish wedding that cost $100k, that’s 5X his salary. That’s one of the worst financial decisions to make, then when things get tough, they run to their families who are struggling with their own financial life but are trying their best to be financially responsible like not throwing a lavish wedding that is 5X what they have. When the man was asked why he threw a lavish wedding if he couldn’t afford he said that his friends were doing the same and he didn’t want to be left out. A lavish wedding party is a moment, where no one cares. You are truly taking a loan to feed people that don’t care about you and you will never see them again. But a marriage is almost forever if they don’t get divorced.
This is why I don’t like the fake it till you make it statement, especially when used by a financially irresponsible person. If you are financially responsible then I get it, but if you are financially irresponsible you are not faking it you are just irresponsible with money.
