The word crypto is very popular this time and all thanks to social media and news media because these platforms spread more awareness about Crypto. There was a time when the news media was talking about Bitcoin and crypto and they were trying to bring a negative image in front of people. They were calling crypto as a Ponzi scheme. Now at least this scenario has changed because when they talk about crypto and Bitcoin then they consider it as an asset which makes sense. Indeed, Crypto is not a currency in most of the countries because it is not legal tender. Considering it as an asset is a good option I would say and in India also it is just an asset that cannot be used for any payment towards goods or services.
Nowadays there is another scenario that when people hear the word crypto then they think it is something where they can become rich overnight. This is not the reality and people need to understand this. Crypto is also an asset like many others for example - company stocks, gold mutual funds, etc. Can we become rich overnight if we invest in company stocks or gold? The clear-cut answer is no because it takes time for the asset class to grow and bring some value appreciation to the investment. Maybe some people make a hell amount of money in crypto or maybe in the stock market also but that is just luck and not everyone can be lucky. People also think that crypto is something where people can trade and make money but this is also not true.
Crypto is not just about trading instead it is something very big that we can't even compare with stuff like the stock market or mutual funds etc. For example, if I share my journey then I'm not a trader and I hardly trade a couple of times in the whole year. I don't know the tips and tricks to trade and this is why I stay away but I invest in some coins from time to time when I see that the prices are down. Investing and trading both are different and we cannot compare one with another. Similarly Crypto is not just about trading instead it is a bigger ecosystem where we can do lots more.
I have completed five years in this space and I am mostly invested in some coins I also write posts on this platform. It's like a social media platform for me where I can share posts about any topic. The only requirement is that I need to write my own I shouldn't copy anything from the open internet and to be honest I never did it and I would never be doing this. Whatever I know about any topic and even about my life I just share on this platform and this is supported by many amazing people on this platform. For me, Crypto is like working on this platform updating myself with some new information about this market, and reading more about this technology and how it will evolve. For me, Crypto is also about writing posts every day and engaging with other people, and through these whatever reward I generate is accumulated in my wallet. I don't expect to get rich overnight by writing articles but I know that whatever reward I generate has some monetary value.
For me, Crypto is a long-term game that I'm trying to build day by day for the long term. For me, Crypto is also a source of passive income where I follow the reinvesting strategy which means whatever I earn through the reward is reinvested to grow my holding even faster. Generally, when we start a company then in the beginning we don't take out the profits and whatever profits are made are reinvested in the business to enhance the growth speed and the same I am following with my journey here on Hive.
I still don't know many things about crypto and I don't shy to accept it because it is the reality and I accept it. There is a lot that I need to learn and I try to learn as much as possible and even I have been learning since the beginning but even after 5 years there is a lot for me to learn and explore. I believe that this journey will be going like this for many more years and at no point in time I would feel like I am aware of everything because this is not possible. In our lives, nobody can learn everything and as a human, we just try to evolve in terms of knowledge understanding, and better experiences but it does not mean that we know everything. Overall I enjoy my stay here and that is what matters I am familiar with many other things like Bitcoin and altcoins etc and ready for the future also because like many other experts in the market, I am not there but I believe that Crypto is here to stay.
